Quick guide, (sauce: experience) Get full exotic - build appropriate obv. (dungeons is a nice start); 2) Do fotm 20 if possible (/lfg) - get exotic ring that holds infusions; 3) Do all the other T1 dailies inc. recommended each day (take your time); 4) Level Crafting - build and class appropriate (ask a paid player for assistance if possible); 5) Join a guild, do guild missions, get ascended
The entitlement of todays gamers is crazy. I paid for the full game that you now get for free, and I did not have a mount for 5 years and I never regretted it for a minute. Oh, and I also paid for the Heart of Thorns expansion which you now ALSO get for free when you buy Path of Fire.

You can fix this by closing Guild Wars 2, launching Guild Wars 1, and then selecting a character that has the GWAMM title. Close the program and restart Guild Wars 2. Top 10 on sPvP Paid

Cooldowns are passive (e.g. reduce damage by 10% vs. cause the next attack to miss). You also spend the first 30 levels on most classes using the equivalent of an auto-attack chain with a whopping 2.5 second GCD between skill uses.
Swords hit 3 targets instead of daggers 2 (on auto attack), so it's better for aoe. On sword/pistol you have a pulsing blind field on pistol 5. This is very strong if you're surrounded by mobs. Sword/pistol 3 is a stun and strong damage on 3 targets, and also an evade. Pistol 4 is a spammable daze, effective for breakbars.
