Late game is pretty boring. Im on my longest playthrough yet. ConsiderMyKingdom mod gives me 10 clans in my kingdom (all tier 5 or 6) Yet all I do is recruit units and upgrading them. The clans in my kingdom only raise armies around 500-700, even though I hand them free influence.
you can leave with your fiefs and buy peace for 200k-1m depending on the worth of your fiefs. then you are not a kingdom you can build your money since no one can declare on you. when youre ready to make the kingdom make sure to recruit as many other clans as you can as fast as you can and have full garrisons. The only way to get on top of the aggro is to prisoner and rush or start chopping heads. Destroy the clans and then start, or you will be locked down for a long time. Also as your own kingdom you will never ever have a larger army. So your only choice is to take away parties from them.

I stopped forming the kingdom. I found you can take over towns and castles without it. Find a spot you can take, wait for the right moment. seige the town and take it, when the enemy army comes pay for peace. rinse, repeat. I have like 5 major towns, and 7 castles. and since you are not a kingdom yet, they cant delcare war on you..
