As for other features, the macbook has a better display, better speakers, better microphones, and a better camera. But if you prefer Windows, then I would look for a Windows laptop, but it is necessary to find out whether it should be the macbook pro category or another (low power portable category like this HP). It'll be 300 extra bucks for what I assume is less powerful, but with its much better battery life, better keyboard and trackpad and quieter/more reliable cooling, I'm thinking it might actually be a good buy. If you strongly dislike macOS probably you shouldn't get a Mac. Totally agree. You don't need a macbook pro worth 2.5k anyways. The m1 macbook air is more than enough for like 99% of people. And that costs around 1k which is anyways better overall thin and light than anything that exists in windows space. The reason to switch to mac would be most of the command like touch don't work on windows power-shell. Well, let’s start by saying there’s a price gap of roughly $700 between the 13-inch and 14-inch models. The 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro starts at $1,299 for 256GB of storage and 8GB of unified memory. However, if you opt for 512GB of storage and 16GB of unified memory, the price goes up to $1699. Comparatively, the base model 14-inch MacBook Pro

The 13-inch MacBook Pro (late-2020) is the first M1 MacBook Pro that launched in November 2020. While it's still in its infancy, we should expect an annual upgrade timeline for the MacBook Pro with M1, as we usually do for most Mac product refreshes. And with a starting price of $1299, this is the most powerful MacBook Pro M1 that you can get
By the time you're writing apps that the regular M1 struggles with, there'll likely already be the M4 or so, lol. The M1 is 30-40% slower than the M1 Pro in xcode regardless of project size. Sorry but I think you made a bad purchase.. You won't feel much the difference between M1 and M1 Pro. The Mac mini is so outdated that you'll get better performance from basically any MacBook Pro from the past few years. You don't need a top-of-the-line MacBook Pro for iOS development; I'm getting along fine on a 2017 MacBook Air. Using MacBook Pro for iOS development is very common. The Best MacBook Air. If money is not unlimited, you can still build a formidable MacBook Air for programming at a reasonable cost, using its newest discounted model. Start with the 256 GB option for $999. Definitely upgrade the processor to i7 (or at least i5).
2023 MBP M2 Max is expected in March. They'll be more expensive than a current MBP M1 due to sales and likely price increases on the new models. Studio-quality 3-mic array. Studio-quality 3-mic array. Apple says the M2 Pro gives 20% faster CPU and 30% faster GPU performance than the M1 Pro. And the M2 Pro neural engine has seen a 40% speed
Beyond their chips, the early 2023 MacBook Pro introduced support for Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and HDMI 2.1, and added an extra hour of battery life. The late 2023 MacBook Pro added an extra 100 .
