My RF 24-105 f4 is excellent. No issues. I remember in years past there would often be posts about copy variation with lenses. But today I don't hear about it much. Maybe lens manufacturing has better quality control today. In recent years I have bought the EF 100-400, RF 24-105 f4, RF 100-500, RF 35 f1.4, and they all were excellent. Hey, shooting landscapes , what would be the sharpest Fstop for the 24-105 and also for the 24-70 2.8. For the 24-70; I shoot landscapes at F/5.6-F/8 unless there is too much sunlight that shutter speed creates its own diffraction pattern.
Re: RF 24-105 vs FE 24-105. I am interested in this topic. OpticalLimits.com is the only web site that provides measures on both lenses, it said Canon is better, sharper at the 24mm corners at F/4. And at 105mm center, Canon is sharper. I have the Sony version, 24mm corners are good at F/5.6. 105mm center is sharp with 42mp camera, but not sure
