You need to continue them in order to head north, as one of the major missions has you retaking the Big Bridge in the middle of the map which blocks entrance to the North. I just unlocked the second area in far cry 4 and for some reason I can no longer go to the arena. The icon is completely gone. Can you only access the arena before you unlock the northern area? I've travelled there twice now and the chick you talk to to enter the arena doesn't pop up the "hold x to go to arena" thing.
